PBT Celebrates “Patients’ Day” In Kolkata: Call To Disband Corrupt Medical Councils

“Patients’ Day” (Rogi Divas) was celebrated by PBT on Saturday (May 28) in Kolkata at the Calcutta Press Club.  “Patients’ Day” has been commemorated since 2004 every year on May 28, the death anniversary of Anuradha Saha, to spread public awareness about healthcare and to help the victims of medical negligence (See news reports below).  PBT also submitted a “memorandum” to Ms. Mamta Banerjee, the new chief minister/health minister in West Bengal, with specific proposal to improve the pitiful status of healthcare in the sate (see the memorandum filed with the CM below).
